It's the fight that almost didn't happen.
Strikeforce import Tyron Woodley will battle The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 champion Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of tonight's (Sat., Jan. 31, 2015) UFC 183: "Silva vs. Diaz" pay-per-view (PPV) event, taking place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gastelum missed weight by a whopping nine pounds.
Nevertheless, the show must go on, and "The Chosen One" will now be awarded 30-percent of Gastelum's fight purse, which could add up to a nice chunk of change if he's victorious in "Sin City." Can Woodley overcome the current former middleweight?
Watch this preview and judge for yourself.
There's a lot on the line in tonight's 170-pound showdown. Not just for Woodley and Gastelum, but for the welterweight division, as well, which could be looking for a new set of title challengers in the latter half of 2015.
