Régie des alcools des courses et des jeux (Quebec's athletic commission) today (April 4, 2013) informed MMAmania.com that its drug test results were in for the UFC 158: "St. Pierre vs. Diaz" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place on Sat., March 16, from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
The six fighters tested for drugs of abuse, as well as performance enhancing substances, have all passed with flying colors.
Who were the lucky half-dozen put under the microscope? That remains a mystery, as the commission would not disclose the names of the athletes tested due to their "confidential nature."
That means UFC 158 headliner Nick Diaz -- who flunked for marijuana metabolites his last time out -- may or may not have passed a test for weed that he believed he was in jeopardy of failing (see why here). In addition, it does nothing to support -- or refute -- his accusation that opponent Georges St. Pierre was on steroids.
24 fighters. Six tests. Let the speculation begin...
