Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones may soon find himself under arrest.
That's because the Albuquerque police department is in the process of obtaining a warrant for "Bones," and have upgraded his hit-and-run charge from misdemeanor to felony, since one of the victims of his alleged involvement was left with a broken bone.
MMA Fighting correspondent Ariel Helwani has it straight from the police:
"We are working on an arrest warrant for Jon Jones. The female suffered a broken arm which has elevated the charge to Felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident. The victim's pregnancy appears to have been unaffected. We received a call from a local attorney who is representing himself as Mr. Jones' lawyer, but we haven't confirmed that."
I think it's safe to call the UFC 187 main event "in jeopardy."
More on this breaking news in just a bit. In the meantime, you can read the latest details in his police report right here.
