NSAC: Jon Jones passed multiple UFC 187 drug tests, however...

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is accused of fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident on Sunday (April 26, 2015) in Albuquerque, New Mexico (more on that here). In addition to finding documents with his name in the abandoned rental car, investigators also found a stash of marijuana.

Maybe he was just holding it for a friend?

Jones passed multiple out-of-competition drug tests for his upcoming title fight on May 23, according to Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) Executive Director Bob Bennett, who also told MMA Fighting that it was too soon to rule on the champ's eligibility for UFC 187, where he is expected to face Anthony Johnson in the main event (see "Rumble's" reaction here).

There's just one catch.

The recent drug tests administered to Jones would not return a positive result for recreational drugs like marijuana. Sure, it happened once before when "Bones" was busted for blow; but hey, that was a mistake by the commission and would never happen again.

Besides, he has more important things to worry about.

Namely, a potential felony arrest stemming from his hit-and-run, one that sent a pregnant woman to the hospital with a broken arm (details). As of this writing, Jones has yet to be located and no one from his management team has been available for comment.
