Slice vs. Ortiz could very well be Spike TV's dream come true.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Elite XC vet, Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, will make his return to the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) later this year after the internet sensation inked a new deal with Bellator MMA.
Kimbo doesn't have an opponent lined up just yet, as the bearded brawler admits he isn't too familiar with Bellator's heavyweight roster.
"I'm not sure. I don't even know who's there right now (in Bellator) as heavyweights. But shit, anybody. Just feed me. I'm ready to be fed," said Slice on The MMA Hour.
Still, he does have a few names in mind, as he stated that he wants to get one back from Seth Petruzelli after the "The Silverback" handed him his first loss back in 2008 under the Elite XC banner. For Kimbo, nothing would be sweeter than to have Bellator bring Seth into the mix to so he can get some much-desired revenge.
"I owe that dude one," declared Kimbo. "The nature of it (the loss), I could complain all day long on this and that, but shit, it just went down the way it went down, but goddamn I owe him one."
If Scott Coker and Co. can't make that happen, Slice said he'd like to handle some business against Tito Ortiz after catching wind that the former UFC light heavyweight champ had some not so nice things to say about him back in the day.
"Shit, you know they could put Tito (Ortiz) on that plate, too," he said. "For sure. I got a bone to pick with that dude, man," says Slice. "Ain't no problem with him yet, but you know, from back in the Strikeforce days, I was hearing shit about him calling me out and talking shit about me, so yeah, we could definitely put that in the making."
When asked if he'd have problems controlling and defending Tito's wrestling, Kimbo said Ortiz needs to be weary of the striker's heavy hands. "He's gonna have a problem with my hand game."
Training at American Top Team (ATT), Kimbo is confident in saying his overall MMA games has improved over the years and welcomes any of his future opponents -- Tito included -- to test him on the ground.
Kimbo vs. Oritz?
That could do some pretty hefty numbers for the promotion, given each combatant's successful track record bringing in viewers like this.
