The most dominant Heavyweight boxer of this generation, Wladimir Klitschko -- who has not been defeated in a decade -- is back in action for the first time since April this afternoon (Sat., Nov. 15, 2014), facing consensus No. 2-ranked Kubrat Pulev inside O2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of the championship bout (WBO, IBO, WBA and IBF), starting with the HBO broadcast at 4:45 p.m. ET.
"Dr. Steelhammer" (62-3, 52 KO) has demolished all comers since a 2004 loss to Lamon Brewster, assembling all but one of the legitimate heavyweight titles with the remainder held by his brother, Vitali, before his retirement. While the towering Ukrainian has earned some flak for his clinch-heavy approach, most egregiously in his fight with Alexander Povetkin last year, he showcased his tremendous power earlier this year by stopping Alex Leapai in five rounds.
Pulev (20-0, 11 KO) earned the biggest win of his career in Aug. 2013, defeating a resurgent Tony Thompson fresh off of his derailing of David Price. He has competed twice in stay-busy fights since, picking up early stoppage wins in both. The 6'4" "Cobra" will give up two inches of height to the champion.
