UFC Fight Night 52 bonuses: Mark Hunt knockout earns $50K, Kang and Tanaka earn 'Fight of the Night'

Drum roll, please ...

UFC Fight Night 52: "Hunt vs. Nelson" from Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 24 fighters on the Fight Pass-only card, and it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons.

This time around, Mark Hunt was awarded a "Performance of the Night" bonus for his walk off knockout of the insanely durable Roy Nelson in the night's main event (read full recap here), while Johnny Case's guillotine submission of Kazuki Tokudome earned him the other "Performance of the Night."

The "Fight of the Night" was the thrilling Bantamweight battle between Asian mixed martial arts (MMA) champions Kyung Ho Kang and Michinori Tanaka, which saw the former score a super close split decision victory over the latter.

Here are the special UFC Fight Night 52 bonuses:

  • Performance of the Night -- Mark Hunt

  • Performance of the Night -- Johnny Case

  • Fight of the Night -- Kyung Ho Kang vs. Michinori Tanaka

Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
