Back on May 3, Marcos Maidana gave pound-for-pound boxing great Floyd Mayweather his toughest fight in a number of years, at least dating back to the Miguel Cotto showdown, and even that wasn't in doubt, not really. The Argentine's performance -- he lost, but by majority decision -- earned him an immediate rematch, which took place tonight (Sat., Sept. 13, 2014) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Different night, same result.
This time, Mayweather earned a unanimous decision victory on scores of 115-112, 116-111, and 116-111. Maidana had even less success this time around, scoring a hard punch at the bell in the third round -- one that actually wobbled "Money" and had him woozy just before hitting his stool -- and...
