Latest UFC rankings update: Mark Hunt now a top five heavyweight after knocking out Roy Nelson in Japan

Meanwhile, Myles Jury continues his ascension in the lightweight division after putting away Takanori Gomi in the first round, though the performance was only good enough to move him up one spot.

The official Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) rankings have been updated following the UFC Fight Night 52: "Hunt vs. Nelson" event from last Saturday (Sept. 20, 2014), which took place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Mark Hunt made some waves in the heavyweight division after he knocked out Roy Nelson in the second round with a single uppercut that sent "Big Country" face first to the canvas (video).

Another notable addition to the heavyweight rankings is Matt Mitrione, who debuted on the list after knocking out Derrick Lewis two weeks ago at UFC Fight Night 51.

Miles Jury also managed to move up a spot in the lightweight division after he finished longtime veteran, Takanori Gomi, in the very first round in "The Land of the Rising Sun."

Here's what the rest of the field looks like after a bevy of changes courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, *NR = Not previously ranked).

There you have it, another crazy shakeup in the official UFC rankings.

Hunt called for a a fight against top five fighter following his destruction of "Big Country," but now that he occupies that spot, his next opponent has now been dwindled down to four candidates.

You can expect these numbers to change rather quickly as UFC 178: "Johnson vs Cariaso" goes down this Saturday (Sept. 27, 2014) in Las Vegas, Nevada
