"Uncle Creepy" got (fat) jokes!
Not long after Ian McCall revealed his severely-infected hand (see it), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced that "Uncle Creepy" would throw down against John Lineker in a Flyweight fracas.
The two men are set to face off at UFC Fight Night 56, which takes place at Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Brazil, on Nov. 8, 2014.
Of course, McCall didn't hesitate to start the trash talk early, announcing via his Instagram account that he'd been booked to take on the "fat boy." Those comments come on the heels of Lineker's multiple scale fails, as the 125-pound standout was unable to hit the required weight limit at UFC 163 and UFC Fight Night 30.
After getting his weight issues in check, Lineker went on to lose to Ali Bagautinov, before getting back into the win column against Alptekin Ozkilic at UFC Fight Night 45 this past July.
As for McCall, he's fresh off a unanimous decision victory over Brad Pickett at UFC Fight Night 46 two months ago, giving him his second straight win in the division.
The fight could have major title implications, as a win for either man could sneak him closer to the top of the division and to a title shot. It helps, too, that fellow top-ranked contenders, John Dodson and the aforementioned Bagautinov, are currently sidelined for up to one year (see why here and here).
How about it, Maniacs, who do you favor in this intriguing Flyweight match up?
UFC Fight Night 56 is expected to also feature a light heavyweight showdown between Mauricio Rua and Jimi Manuawa.
