MMA Junkie broke the news earlier this afternoon, and it's a bummer. An undisclosed injury has scrapped what promised to be an exciting match between Scott Jorgensen and Ian McCall.
For Jorgensen, there's probably still time to get a new opponent for the first flyweight match in his career. "Young Guns" has dropped three of his last four at bantamweight to the top of the division (Renan Barao, Urijah Faber and Eddie Wineland), and the lighter weight class is probably his last shot at a run for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) gold.
The UFC is currently looking for a new opponent for Jorgensen. Might I suggest John Dodson? The worst damage he suffered against Darrell Montague came when he botched the celebratory flip off the cage.
