Welcome, Maniacs, to the fifty-eighth edition of "This Week in MMAmania.com." MMAmania is a gigantic and glorious place and we pump out a ridiculous amount of content. If you don't refresh this site every 60 minutes, you might just miss something amazing.
Have no fears, that's what this weekly article is all about! We'll recap the best of all things MMAmania, whether it be a great comment, a Fan Post, an article, video or something else.
- Comment of the Week: When someone posted a big pair of knockers in the gamethread, on Wednesday night, Jonnyboy6969 had the perfect response.
you should have seen what I tried to do to them.

The people in this library were not pleased.

- Article of the week: Figured I'd give Matthew Roth a little love for his "About last night" article discussing all the ins and outs of UFC Fight Night 27 in retrospect. Not too bad if I say so myself.
- Statistic of the Week: I never would have thought this in a million years but Ben Askren = numbers! Look no further than the multiple articles published in the past week about the "Funky" Bellator champion as rumors swirl about his fighting future. He actually brought in some serious hits.
- MMAmania's Verbal Submission Podcast: The Verbal Submission podcast returned this week with a special two hour edition co-hosted (for the foreseeable future) with Matt Roth. We also had interviews with Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko and newly signed UFC fighter Wilson Reis. (Editor's note: we'll switch to Tuesday nights at 10 pm whenever UFC has a special Wednesday event).
Did you miss it? Don't worry, you can listen to the archived podcast by clicking on the player below:
- MMA Meme of the Week: Flyweight's got it rough, y'all:
- Fanpost of the week: Unambig came out with a "Quick and the Dirty" article for UFN 27, so this was a no-brainer.
- Honorable mention fanpost of the Week: This one is good enough based on the comments alone, but check out the Maniac Memories by O damn he got caught.
- Honorable mention comment of the week: Someone actually nominated one of my comments this week, so I'm going to include it here. I had a pretty simple response when we posted a Brittney Palmer lingerie photo shoot video (you'll see it below).
Well video of the week is already on lockdown
I don't care if Condit front kicks's Kampman's head clear off- Brian Hemminger
- Interview of the Week: In case you missed my interview
But that's not all,
- Video of the Week: Well this was the easiest VOTW ever to pick:
- Burn of the Week: Phasebook takes the cake this week for ripping on poor ViolentMike, calling him the Tim Sylvia of the money pool champions.
Look at VM, he's a great example....
that guy can barely pick his own ass.....but he's a Moneypool Champion none the less......- kg12
------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, but he was Tim Sylvia back then
When competition was weaker compared to now.- Phasebook
We don't just have great content on MMAmania, our writers also are very active on Twitter.
Here's our honorary #MMAmania Tweet of the Week: Andrew Richardson finally dethrones Matt Roth with a pretty funny realization on his prior training days after watching Martin Kampmann fight:
Watching Kampmann fight is giving me awful flashbacks to my boxing coach yelling at me to move my damn head
— Andrew Richardson (@ThePrideBJJ) August 29, 2013
If you want to catch any good tweets from your Mania writers, here are our accounts: Thomas Myers, Jesse Holland,Matthew Roth, Adam Guillen Jr., C.J. Tuttle, Andrew Richardson, George Halvatsis Jr., Michael Stets, Jason Probst,Cory Braiterman and Brian Hemminger.
- Obligatory TNA of the Week: Can't go wrong with a good runway model strutting her stuff
Scottidog's "Good guy comment of the week" - Congratulations to the new money pool champion!.
Lastly, let's finish off the week with some Maniac debate. This time, it has nothing to do with fighting ability.
What MMA fighter would you want to sit down and have a drink with?
That's it for this week. If you've got an extra suggestions for content, or nominations for articles, comments or discussion topics, please feel free to e-mail me at (and I made this e-mail especially for this): HemmingerMMA@gmail.com.
