That didn't take very long.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Kelvin Gastelum will make his 170-pound debut against Brian Melancon at the upcoming UFC Fight Night: "Condit vs. Kampmann 2" event on Aug. 28, 2013 from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

His original opponent, Paulo Thiago, was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury (details).

Gastelum (6-0) shocked the world by defeating the heavily-favored Uriah Hall via split decision at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 live finale last April in Las Vegas, Nevada, and at just 21 years-old, could be one of the division's brightest prospects.

Speaking of which...

Melancon crossed over from the ranks of Strikeforce and made a smashing debut, literally, by putting Seth Baczynski to sleep at the UFC 162 pay-per-view (PPV) event over Fourth of July Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, marking finish number five in seven wins.

Who ya' got?

UFC Fight Night: "Condit vs. Kampmann 2" will feature a welterweight rematch between top division contenders Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann. The pair first met at UFC Fight Night 18 back in 2009, a headlining bout that served as "The Natural Born Killer's" Octagon debut.

"The Hitman" was victorious by way of split decision.
