UFC on Fox 7: "Henderson vs. Melendez" blew the roof off the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, last night (Sat., April 20, 2013) featuring a main event of Ben Henderson earning a split decision victory over former king of the Strikeforce cage, Gilbert Melendez.
The co-headlining attraction saw another former Strikeforce home grown talent, Daniel Cormier, have far more success, as he easily took care of business in his heavyweight hustle against Frank Mir, winning a unanimous decision.
The other two main card bouts saw Josh Thomson become the first man in UFC history to stop Nate Diaz and Matt Brown continue his incredible run of late by knocking out Jordan Mein in their welterweight affair.
