UFC 159 is almost her, but if you've been following the Twitter account of event headliner and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight No. 1 contender Chael Sonnen, you already knew that, didn't you?
As the days have winded down to Saturday's (April 27, 2013) pay-per-view (PPV) event in Newark, N.J., Sonnen has counted the moments in the form of a witty, or perhaps even insulting, social media message for his fans and upcoming opponent, reigning 205-pound champion Jon Jones.
Much like his personality in real life, Sonnen's countdown was a mix of comical, courageous and confusing, but ultimately it only added to the anticipation for his title bout against Jones just hours from now in "The Garden State."

While some may have been impressed by Sonnen's ability to come up with a message for his opponent each and every day for a month leading up to the fight, Jones himself wasn't all that impressed.
"I have seen some of Chael's countdown Twitter feed," Jones told Kenny Florian and Dominick Cruz on a recent edition of "UFC Tonight" on FUEL TV. "I think I stopped reading it at like day 27, and it doesn't fuel me anymore.
"It's foolishness, really."
Foolishness or not, Sonnen does his best to keep the fans entertained.
