Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones will look to continue his 205-pound dominance tonight (Sat., April 27, 2013) against former two-time No. 1 185-pound title challenger Chael Sonnen at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is will finally pull the pin on its most anticipated pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year, UFC 159, TONIGHT (Sat., April 27, 2013) from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on April 27, 2013.


UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" features a light heavyweight headlining title fight between The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 coaches Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen, while middleweight strikers and perennial contenders Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher hook 'em up in the co-main event.

Sheila Gaff vs. Sara McMann


Round one: Gaff charges forward and immediately gets taken down by McMann. McMann drops a few short right and left hands but is stuck inside Gaff's guard. McMann stays on top for three minutes not doing much and they get stuood up. Gaff throws some knees as they clinch and McMann is working for a takedown against the fence. Good knees from Gaff but McMann takes her down and passes to side control. McMann has a mounted crucifix and Gaff can't break free. McMann is just dropping right hands from above and the ref puts a stop to it.


Final result: Sara McMann defeats Sheila Gaff via TKO (unanswered punches) at 4:06 of round one

Johnny Bedford vs. Bryan Caraway


Round one: Left hook from Caraway and he pokes Bedford accidentally. Now he's really looking for the left hook every time Bedford initiates. Bedford steps forward with a right hand and Caraway grabs a body lock, clinching and dragging Bedford to the ground. Bedford has wrist control but Caraway has both hooks in on the ground. Caraway switches to a body triangle and Bedford sits up, exploding to his feet. Left hook from Caway and Bedford connects with a right hand and a body kick. Bedford loads up with a huge body shot and he's throwing a lot more aggressively now trying to gain ground. Bedford steps forward with a lunging combination but can't connect with anything. They exchange and Caraway scores with an uppercut and Bedford blasts him with a couple good shots. Caraway shoots in for a takedown with 10 seconds left and drops some elbows from top position. 10-9 Caraway


Round two: Caraway shoots in quickly but Bedford backs him off with a knee. Left hand from Caraway and he's pawing with his lead left hook. Bedford has control of the cage center and he's winging some shots, scoring with a right hand and a knee. Bedford has some swelling around his right eye and he scores with a left jab and an outside leg kick. Huge leg kick from Bedford and he's being a bit reckless with his attack. Caraway shoots in for a takedown and he completes it this time, landing inside Bedford's guard. Bedford throws some elbows from bottom but Caraway passes to side control. Bedford retains half guard. Caraway stays on top until time expires. 10-9 Caraway


Round three: They trade on the feet briefly and Caraway scores another takedown. Caraway is looking to pass but Bedford hits a switch on him although Caraway just grabs a single leg and drives back into top position. Bedford attacks with a triangle choke and then transitions to an armbar but Caraway utilizes some very technical escapes to avoid danger. Caraway is hunting for a guillotine and he gives up top position, dropping to his back with a full guard attack. Caraway squeezes tight and he has it locked up, rolling over into full mount and Bedford taps!


Final result: Bryan Caraway defeats Johny Bedford via submission (guillotine) at

Leonard Garcia vs. Cody McKenzie


Round one: McKenzie closes the distance and soots in for a takedown immediately, dumping Garcia on his keister along the fence. Garcia works back to his feet but McKenzie has a reverse body lock and he dumps Garcia on the ground again. McKenzie takes Garcia's back and he's got both hooks in, transitioning to a body triangle. McKenzie works for a choke but Garcia shoves the forearm off his neck. McKenzie drops some punches from behind and he works for a neck crank but Garcia gets free again. They roll but McKenzie remains plastered to his back. Garcia starts to turn into McKenzie and nearly gets caught in an arm triangle but this frees him from the back mount as McKenzie is on top inside his guard. Garcia gets to his feet but McKenzie lands a big left hand and locks up a triangle choke but can't finish it as time expires. 10-8 McKenzie


Round two: Head kick whiffs for McKenzie and he shoots in for a single leg but Garcia stuffs it. They clinch and McKenzie drops for a takedown and Garcia gets dumped on his back. Garcia tries to get to his feet but McKenzie is remaining heavy. Garcia steps over and pops back to his feet and he's got three minutes to work. Leg kick from Garcia and he connects with a left hand. McKenzie clinches and Garcia gives up his back standing, and McKenzie falls backwards, taking his back with a body triangle on the ground. McKenzie is jut all over Garcia, but he can't get a finish. Right hands coming in heavy from McKenzie and Garcia tries to dump him on his head but can't escape the position. 10-9 McKenzie


Round three: Head kick from Garcia to get things started and he's got to do something drastic if he wants to win. McKenzie dives for a takedown but can't get it and they're back to standing. Head kick from Garcia is blocked and Garcia attempts another that glances. Nice right hand from Garcia and a head kick is partially blocked. McKenzie scores with a straight left and Garcia shrugs off a takedown attempt. Right hand from Garcia and he's just throwing with reckless abandon. McKenzie dogs him a bit with a taunt and Garcia drops his hands, eating a couple punches. Right hand from Garcia and then a body kick and McKenzie scores with a knee to the body. Head kick from Garcia just misses and McKenzie shoots in for a takedown, tripping Garcia and taking top position. McKenzie takes top position in half guard, dropping some elbows. Garcia tries to sweep him but gets his back taken again as time expires. 10-9 McKenzie


Final result: Cody McKenzie defeats Leonard Garcia via unanimous decision (30-27x2, 29-28)

Kurt Holobaugh vs. Steven Siler


Round one: Good pair of kicks from Holobaugh early and Siler responds with some heavy punches. They're both bringing it hard and heavy and Holobaugh lands some heavy short strikes to the body. They clinch and Siler throws some knees to the body and a takedown attempt backs him off. Heavy leg kick lands from Holobaugh and they clinch again. Holobaugh lands some body punches but Siler puts him in the Thai plum and scores some knees to the body and some short elbows. Siler changes levels and takes Holobaugh down with authority and he takes Holobaugh's back with over half the round remaining. Siler has both hooks in and he's postured up looking to drop some good punches from behind. Siler drops some elbows to the body and he's just teeing off with some punches from behind. Holobaugh stands, but Siler is still on his back, adjusting his position and keeping both hooks in. Holobaugh is bleeding now. Holobaugh tries to roll and escape and Siler has the choke locked in but somehow Holobaugh doesn't tap out and Siler gives up on the choke. Siler transitions to a body triangle and drops some more punches as time expires. 10-8 Siler


Round two: Holobaugh comes out swinging and Siler changes levels and Holobaugh attacks with a guillotine choke but can't lock it in tight enough. Siler takes top position and Holobaugh throws elbows from bottom and threatens with a triangle choke. Siler backs off and Holobaugh powers him to the ground, landing a heavy left hand but Siler briefly sweeps him and they're back to standing. Holobaugh catches Siler with a huge right hand and he's rocked! Holobaugh attacks with another guillotine choke but Siler escapes and Holobaugh is on top now. SIler throws some up kicks and Holobaugh lands some massive punches and elbows from top position. Another big elbow from Holobaugh and Siler is bloodied up now. SIler throws good up kicks and Holobaugh backs off and they both return to the stand-up. Both of them wing heavy punches at each other as Siler scores a right hand and Holobaugh connects with some great leg kicks. Nice right hand from Holobaugh and Siler attempts a takedown but Holobaugh stuffs him and takes top position, dropping right hands until the end of the frame. 10-9 Holobaugh


Round three: Leg kicks from Holobaugh and he's landing them with authority. Siler steps forward with punches to the body and they clinch. Siler is looking to get the Thai clinch but Holobaugh fends him off for now. Holobaugh throws some knees to the inside and some body shots. Elbow from Holobaugh and they're really working here in the clinch. They both trade punches and Siler scores with a left hook. Holobaugh connects with a right hand and attempts a takedown but Siler takes top position and mounts him. Oh this is bad for Holobaugh. Holobaugh gives up his back and SIler has both hooks in and he switches to a body triangle. Siler is working for a neck crank but Holobaugh is toughing this out. Siler stays in dominant position until the end of the fight, dropping punches from back mount. 10-9 Siler


Final result: Steven Siler defeats Kurt Holobaugh via unanimous decision (29-28 x3)
