If the recently-announced Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva UFC 160 Heavyweight main event title fight wasn't big enough for you, this massive mixed martial arts (MMA) showdown should send you over the top.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced this evening (via "UFC Tonight") that the co-main event of the promotion's annual Memorial Day weekend pay-per-view (PPV) extravaganza will feature an explosive bout between arguably two of the best strikers in sport.

Former 265-pound kingpin, Junior dos Santos, and former No. 1 division contender, Alistair Overeem, will lock powerful horns once and for all at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 25, 2013.

Dos Santos was last seen in action on Dec. 29, 2012, coughing up his title to Velasquez at UFC 155 in one of the most lopsided title fights in recent memory, enduring a 25-minute beat down at the hands of "Brown Pride." Meanwhile, "The Reem" had his UFC title dreams dashed by the massive hands of the aforementioned Silva at UFC 156 on Feb. 2, 2013, as "Bigfoot" ended the Dutch striker's 11-fight win streak by putting him to sleep in the final round of their Super Bowl weekend clash.

"The Reem" and "Cigano" were initially set to square off at last year's UFC 146 Memorial Day weekend event, which featured an all-heavyweight main card with dos Santos' title on the line. However, Overeem's testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio tested through the roof and "Demolition Man" was put in a nine-month timeout.

Better late than never.

UFC 160 will feature a heavyweight championship fight between Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva in the main event, which is a rematch of their 2012 non-title fight that "Brown Pride" won via first round technical knockout en route to his reclaiming his division title (read more on that here).
