Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will hold a media press conference event today (Feb. 21, 2012) in advance of UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche," which is scheduled to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, this Saturday night (Feb. 23, 2013).

The conference, which is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. ET will take place at the Honda Center and will feature UFC President Dana White, as well as the headlining fighters of the evening, Ronda Rousey, Liz Carmouche, Dan Henderson, Lyoto Machida, Josh Koscheck and Robbie Lawler.

Rousey is the current UFC women's bantamweight champion. She will be making her UFC debut after winning and defending the Strikeforce title last year. She has finished every opponent both in her amateur and professional career via first round armbar and she impressed UFC President Dana White so much that he decided it was time to allow women in UFC after all.

Liz Carmouche is the only women who was willing to fight Rousey in the first women's bout in UFC history. The "GirlRilla" has a mean streak and burst onto the scene in a short notice Strikeforce title fight against Marloes Coenen where she nearly shocked the world by beating on the champion for over three and a half rounds. After consecutive wins in Invicta, she's ready for the big time again.

Henderson is the former Pride and Strikeforce light heavyweight champion. The 43-year old possesses some of the most lethal power in the entire promotion and he was geared for a title shot against Jon Jones before a knee injury forced him to pull out. Now, after finally getting healthy, he'll be trying to regain that number one contender position. His opponent, Lyoto Machida, is the former UFC light heavyweight champion, and possesses a very unique fighting style based on his karate background. "The Dragon" is one of the most accurate and elusive fighter in UFC history and he'll be trying to win over the UFC executives with a strong performance this Saturday night.

Josh Koscheck is an alumni of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one and is one of the UFC's biggest mainstays. "Kos" earned a title shot in 2010 but fell short against Georges St. Pierre via decision and he's been in division purgatory ever since. He'll be trying to dig himself out with a strong showing to open up the pay-per-view. His opponent, Robbie Lawler, was once the golden child of the UFC, knocking opponents senseless left and right before a string of losses left him on the outside looking in. After Strikeforce folded, he's being back into the fold with a very tall task ahead of him in an attempt to make one last run.
