UFC 157 odds: Dan Henderson +190 underdog against Lyoto Machida

Dscn1517

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Dan Henderson (29-8) is 7-1 over his last eight fights, has won four in a row and over his career has defeated the likes of Mauricio Rua, Fedor Emelianenko, Vitor Belfort and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

That might get a few cheers from the mixed martial arts (MMA) peanut gallery, but it doesn't impress the Las Vegas bookies.

In fact, "Hendo" is holding steady as a +190 underdog heading into his 205-pound title eliminator fight against Lyoto Machida (18-3), which is booked for the UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" pay-per-view co-main event, which goes down on Feb. 23, 2013 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

"The Dragon" is 2-3 over his last five yet still the odds-on favorite at -230 according to our fiscal friends at Best Fight Odds.

Henderson will turn 43 this August and despite a busy 2011 fight campaign, stepping inside the cage on three separate occasions, the former PRIDE FC star has not competed in well over a year. Machida, meanwhile, is fresh off a knockout win over Ryan Bader last August.

There you have it, fight fans, the numbers game for UFC 157 (see more Anaheim odds here). Anyone running down to the local window to plunk down a few coins prior to fight night?
