An intriguing welterweight showdown has been added to the Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) annual Memorial Day Weekend pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Amir Sadollah and Stephen Thompson have been booked to do battle on May, 25, 2013 at UFC 160.

The UFC brought word of the fight late last night.

The former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 7 winner, Sadollah, will look to bounce back from his unanimous decision loss to Dan Hardy at UFC on Fuel TV: "Struve vs. Miocic" last September. Prior to his loss to "The Outlaw," Amir picked up a much needed win against Jorge Lopez at UFC on FUEL TV 3.

Thompson, meanwhile, dazzled fight fans in his Octagon debut back at UFC 143, knocking out UFC newcomer Dan Stittgen in the very first round via spectacular head kick.

However, the previously undefeated "Wonderboy" saw his perfect record go out the window when he ran into "The Immortal" Matt Brown at UFC 145, who dominated the karate specialist for 15 minutes en route to a clean sweep on the judges' scorecard.

Expect a potential slugfest as the two proven strikers will be looking to avoid dropping two in row and putting their spot on the promotion's roster in jeopardy.

UFC 160 goes down from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will feature a heavyweight title fight as current champ Cain Velasquez will attempt to defend his title against Antonio Silva, a man he defeated at UFC 146 last May.

In the co-main event, arguably two of the top striking big men in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) will finally collide as former 265-pound kingpin Junior dos Santos will take on former No. 1 contender Alistair Overeem.

How about it Maniacs, who takes this 170-pound showdown?
