The countdown has begun...
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to network television with another free world championship fight as reigning lightweight titleholder Benson Henderson welcomes Gilbert Melendez, champion of the now-defunct Strikeforce organization, to the Octagon.
When and where?
In the UFC on FOX 7: "Henderson vs. Melendez" main event, which tops off a loaded free fight card from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., on April 20, 2013.
That's roughly two months away.
In the co-main event, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will attempt to rebound from a knockout loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 146 when he takes on highly touted Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Daniel Cormier in Cormier's UFC debut.
